Much of my work (in
particular, the five pieces on the home page) portrays Zhouzhuang, a scenic area
near Shanghai, with buildings dating from the Song dynasty. Over 900 years old,
it is considered one of the most popular places in China, and is known in
Chinese as Shuixiang (a village town of the river). The area is about 200
acres with homes and streets all built along the riverbanks with 14 stone
bridges making connections across the entire vicinity. It is considered by many
to be the “Venice of the East.”
